While these are all great books and worthy of winning, I can’t help but note that “Mr. Tiger Goes Wild” by Peter Brown and “Have you Seen My New Blue Socks” by Eve Bunting, are not on this list. My 2014 favorites on the ballot included: “Locomotive” by Brian Floca, “Journey” by Aaron Becker; “Mr. Tiger Goes Wild” by Peter Brown; “Have You Seen My Blue Socks” by Eve Bunting, and “The Dark” by Lemony Snicket.

What do you think about the awards this year? Did your favorites make the list?

These seem like great books!! I haven’t read them yet, but one that I have loved for a long time is called ” An Awesome Book!” It is seriously one of my favorites. And the AWESOME thing is that you can actually read it on the website below! “You are never too young to dream big!”-banksy

These all look like really good books! The thing that drawes me into a book is definitely the front cover. I’m instantly drawn in by the picture or the drawing or the colors or even the font. As a kid I loved the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
