Professor’s List of Best Books of 2014
There are always so many books to choose from every year. It is hard to narrow down the list. Some books are “must owns” and others are “must borrow” from the library. One thing is for sure, I need a bigger bookshelf and many more gift cards to my favorite bookstores! This year was no exception. Here are my favorite “must own” books from 2014.
The Pigeon Needs a Bath! by Mo Willems.
–As adorable as ever! This book does not disappoint!
The Book with No Pictures by BJ Novak
–I dare you to not laugh! But you must read this one outloud!!!!
The Girl and The Bicycle by Mark Pett
–I’m a girl and I love bicycles! This was a hit for me!
Beekle by Dan Santat
–So adorable! I can’t stand it (In the good way!)
Hi, Koo! by Jon Muth
–I am a succor for a panda and a book of haikus. Superb illustrations!
Firefly July by Paul Janeczko
–Love the poems, love the format, love everything! This one is not to be missed!
Sam and Dave Dig a Hole by Jon Klassen
–I love just about anything and everything from this author and this book does not disappoint! The front cover is awesome!
